Taxi driver?
You want to be a taxi driver, but you don't have your driver's degree yet? Then you can combine training and practice under conditions.
From training to the road.
Becoming a taxi driver starts with a training and obtaining the driver's diploma taxi. Then you can apply for a regular driver card.
But there is also a route where you can already gain practical experience during your training: the Learning Track (LWT).
LWT = learning and working
You learn the profession and at the same time gain practical experience. The LWT route is intended to allow drivers to gain practical experience in contract transport for up to six months.
How do you become a taxi driver?

Taxiter doesn't just want to be a platform for experienced drivers. New drivers should also be given a clear route to enter the box.
That's why Taxiter can be used for Learn-work path for drivers in training facilitate within a connected Taxiter fleet, when all legal conditions are met.
Driver in training?
You can express your interest in a Taxiter Leer-Werkroute.
Within such a route you work as a driver in training within the conditions of the LWT. The formal agreements are made with the carrier offering the apprenticeship.
Important: LWT is not a regular driver card
An LWT card does not mean that you can independently carry out taxi transport without further conditions.
The LWT journey is linked to a carrier and is intended for practical experience within contract transport.
The driver and carrier must sign the required model declaration. It states, among other things, that the driver only carries out contract transport and is sufficiently used to gain work experience.
How much is it?
The total investment depends on the chosen training, examination route and personal situation.
Drivers card including LWT
This is the current Kiwa fare for a driver card including LWT card.
In addition, costs may arise for:
- Taxi training
- Theory and practical examinations
- Declaration on Behaviour (FVO)
- Medical certificate / medical examination
- Any additional practical lessons
These costs depend on the chosen trainer, examination route and personal situation.
How long does an LWT trajectory take?
An LWT path has a fixed period of validity of up to six months.
Within that period, the driver must obtain the driver's diploma. Once the diploma is obtained, the regular driver card connects to it.
